One of Nokia’s upcoming releases is the E5. Offering a high level of everyday versatility in functionality, but the handset features a full QWERTY keyboard for efficient text entry, making it ideal for those who prefer the use of a physical keyboard over that of a touchscreen.

The Nokia E5 measures 115x 58.9x 12.8 mm and weighs in at just 126 g.  Its compact dimensions and light weight make it a pocket friendly handset which is ideally proportioned for comfort of use.  The Nokia E5 is available on a number of different colour variants ranging from carbon black,The Nokia E5 Is An Appealing New Handset Articles chalk white, sky blue, copper brown and silver grey.  This offers aesthetic appeal to users who view their phone as a fashion statement.

Up to 256K colours can be displayed on the 2.4 inch TFT screen within a pixel layout of 320x 240 pixels, offering great quality display of on screen images, making it perfect for viewing video files and photos.

In order to stay connected to the Internet, the Nokia E5 initially relies on 3G coverage via an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second (along with HSUPA at 2 MB per second).  Although this offers of reasonably fast Internet connection, an enhanced browsing experience can be attained thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity.  This utilises the signals provided by wireless Internet routers in both commercial and domestic locations, providing users with an Internet connection at broadband speeds.  In order to stay connected to cellular networks, class 32 versions of both GPRS & EDGE are provided.

The Nokia E5 is equipped with a 5 mega pixel camera which operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels resulting in excellent quality still images.  In order to simplify the task of taking quality photos, fixed focus and an LED flash are both provided as standard.  As you may expect, this camera can also shoot video footage in VGA quality at a rate of 15 frames per second.

The Nokia E5 offers an impressive level of versatility thanks to a number of features and applications all of which are provided as standard.  For entertainment purposes if there is a versatile internal media player which supports many different formats of music and video files such as MP3 and MP4.  Also, a stereo FM radio player is provided along with access to a library of downloadable games to keep users entertained for hours on end.  The Nokia E5 also boasts GPS capabilities with A-GPS support allowing various applications to function such as Ovi Maps.  Voice command/dial means that various functions can be carried out simply by speaking directly to the phone whilst a handy organiser is provided for productivity tasks.

As well as 250 MB of internal storage, the micro SD slot also comes with a pre-installed 2 GB memory card which offers ample storage for data such as media files.  A pre-installed memory card can be upgraded however, simply by installing a larger memory card of up to 32 GB.  This allows plenty of storage for the needs of most users and is indeed capable of storing an entire digital music collection.

The Nokia E5 ticks all the boxes in terms of functionality and although it may not offer touchscreen navigation, this is sure to prove beneficial to those who prefer the use of a physical keyboard.  As well as the handy productivity tool, the Nokia E5 doubles up as a fashion statement to style conscious users, given its range of available colour variants.
