The Nokia N8 Provides Outstanding Functionality

The Nokia N8 is Nokia’s flagship smartphone, boasting key features including Symbian^3 OS, Wi-Fi internet connectivity, an advanced touchscreen and a stunning 12 megapixel digital camera. 

The Nokia N8 measures 113.5x 59.1x 12.9 mm and weighs in at a pocket friendly 135 g.  It boasts a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which is on hand to display up to 16M individual colours within its pixel size of 360x 640, resulting in fantastic display quality of the on screen imagery.  The screen supports multi-touch input which allows features such as pinch to zoom to be carried out, and comes with proximity and accelerometer sensors as standard.

The Nokia N8 relies on GPRS and EDGE, both in class 33 versions to provide its initial means of internet connectivity as well as access to the appropriate cellular networks.  A fast Internet connection can be enjoyed in 3G covered areas thanks to an HSDPA connection which provides download speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second. Wi-Fi connectivity is also included as standard, allowing users to connect to local wireless networks for an even faster browsing experience.

The Nokia N8 been available for several months now, but still retains its position as one of the most advanced camera phones on the market.  This is thanks to a stunning 12 mega pixel digital camera which boasts Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash, face detection and geo-tagging.  As you can imagine, the resulting still images are of stunning quality thanks to the operating pixel resolution of 4000x 3000.

Symbian^3 is the operating-system of choice, and in conjunction with a 680 MHz processor provides users with a fantastic user interface.  The software is highly customisable, allowing users to allocate three different homescreens with personalised widget configurations.  The processor is on hand to run demanding applications with ease as well as keep the interface lightning fast.  Numerous multimedia and productivity apps are included as standard, making the Nokia N8 one of the most versatile handsets available.  It is also available in several different colour variants meaning that it offers appeal to those who also view their mobile phone as a fashion statement.
