Looking closer at what the best appearance attributes are for completion of George St. Pierre's RushFit
Why kid around?
We put the extra effort into working out when others aren’t because we’d like to look great. Sure we find out in the process that we feel better. We also are keenly aware from the large amount of information out there that regular exercise carries with it significant health benefits such as weight control, stress relief, stronger heart and lungs and more restful sleep. Being active can also be fun but honestly that can’t necessarily be said every day working out. So we do it for a lot of reasons but our primary core motivational benefit is looking fitter and better. If we look fitter and better than our friends and family we are secretly competing against, all the better.
George St. Pierre’s RushFit I believe was specifically designed for someone who wants to maximize their appearance benefits in the shortest amount of time. George St. Pierre’s RushFit is an 8-week training program that requires you use your whole body in a maximum interval training format. This means you go very hard for pre-determined duration following the cues of the trainer, then you come to a basically total stop for less time, then you jump back in. This effect creates intense fat burning and also when combined with the dumbbell resistance used in many exercises, great muscle conditioning and stamina. The net effect is you lose weight, get lean but also build strength while bringing out the cuts.
The central idea was to try to give the user the P90X body without going 13 weeks. With George St. Pierre’s RushFit, you got 8 weeks while also following a strict diet plan. The muscle confusion element makes us all think of P90X. The reason is that’s where it came from originally.
The creators of George St. Pierre’s RushFit are wanting you leaner but more defined and hope to use the high intensity interval training to turn your body into a fat burning machine. So when you are at rest you are still burning calories with the advantages of your ramped up metabolism. This is an additional benefit that I don’t think even P90X can claim.
So think of the outcomes as substantially similar to the ones you see with P90X but the approach being decidedly different. Also note that you should be seeing results in 8 weeks at about 40 minutes a day rather than 13 weeks and about one hour.
