Cravings, Signs of Your Diseases (II)

No matter how strange it may seem, cravings may be a consequence of certain diseases, according to Chinese medicine. This idea is confirmed by classic medicine as well.

If you usually crave for beer yeast you may need vitamin B. These cravings also may be due to neurosis, anemia, high levels of cholesterol, cardiovascular diseases, cerebral conditions, or asthenia.

The need for salt may appear when you need sodium in your body. The lack of sodium is due to excessive sweating, diarrhea, the carbohydrates excess, or diuretics treatment. Thyroid insufficiency, high blood pressure, obesity, or renal inflammations may cause salt cravings.

Bananas and melons are usually cravings specific to those who suffer from the lack of potassium. The lack of potassium appears due to excess sweating, carbohydrates excess, diuretics treatment, or diarrhea. Potassium cravings should be satisfied because they may lead to cardiovascular diseases, asthenia, or anemia.

Sour foods may stop nausea usually produced by fat excess, alcohol, pregnancy, indigestions, gastritis, hepatitis, renal insufficiency, or increased activity of the thyroid.

Bitter products clean the blood from the excess of cholesterol, toxins, and everything that may burden blood circulation. This is why the cravings for the bitter foods may be brought by cardiovascular diseases.

Cocoa and chocolate cravings are very popular. They may occur because of the need for caffeine or excessive calcium consumption.
