Success in any venture is all about creating a relationship with the prospective client/customer. Here's an example that will help you never forget this key rule.

Imagine meeting somebody for the first time on one of the many relationships sites and then after an extremely brief introduction,Build relationships and watch your online profits soar Articles you ask them to marry you? What sort of reaction would you expect? The nice lady will probably slap you, if there was a way of doing that online. (Although I must hasten to add that there are enough cranks out there these days so that out of every hundred or so marriage proposals you make in this way, it's possible to get a couple of YES's.)

So why do we expect a different reaction when we briefly introduce ourselves and then ask the client to buy from us? Or do the few cranks who actually buy encourage us to continue doing the same unviable thing?

Is it any wonder that posting articles free on the web is the most effective way of advertising on the net? It is actually a very powerful way of building a relationship because the other person gets to know your lengthy intimate thoughts on a pet subject of theirs. Quick tip: The more intimate your article, the quicker you will build relationships with those who read it.

This key or secret, or whatever you want to call it, is enough to make all the difference in your online marketing efforts.

Just calm down for a while and forget all those make-millions-in-your-sleep-in-5-minutes schemes. Make an effort to put aside all those SPAMMING schemes and just slow down and take the slower but more effective path to success online. Concentrate on building relationships. Your customer base will grow much more slowly, but it will be a more solid one. And besides there are ways of quickly expanding it later, once you have a solid base - like giving existing customers incentives to refer their friends to you.

My brother got married to his current wife pronto - but it was after my wife (who knew both of them very well) introduced them. Introductions dramatically cut down the time in which we need to get to know the other person.

It will be educational to examine one of the more effective tools on the internet in terms of building relationships. And that is the ezine. In recent times it has become increasingly difficult to get subscribers for a free ezine. And this is the reason.

You make a brief introduction and you realize that you need to build a relationship. So you agree to communicate on a regular basis. But then as you start to talk through email and chat, it quickly becomes obvious that you are in a big hurry to get married to this person that still hardly knows you. They get even more suspicious than if you had been honest and asked for their hand in marriage upfront.

In the same way, many ezines start bombarding their new subscribers with offers and requests to purchase immediately they subscribe. It quickly becomes obvious that this is not free valuable information after all, but a chance to get into my mailbox and regularly pester me with requests to buy this and that. No wonder the rate at which people unsubscribe these days is so high.

I also believe that the frequency of communication needs to be looked into very carefully. In a budding romance there is no quicker killer than that new guy who is always coming around to the flat. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Weekly may be too frequent for most people although there is an ezine I like very much that I receive DAILY!! I guess it all depends on the subject.

Take the time to build a genuine relationship and see the difference in your online business.
