It might sound like a contradiction however, eating more can actually help you lose weight if you are currently under eating. It sounds bizarre when you hear it at first but that is the truth. Some people over stretch themselves when they go on diets and that can really go against them. There are two important points you should take into consideration when it comes to eating more.

Point 1:

They believe that smaller meals are easier for the body to digest and use for energy. That makes sense however, if you are eating the right kind of foods then you will not have to worry about eating too many times during the day.

The good old breakfast, lunch and then dinner will do the trick so far as you are having enough nutrient rich foods that will keep your body going between meals. The advantage of also having three square meals is that it allows the body to fully digest your food before you add more food to your stomach. Good digestion plays a huge part in how healthy you feel and how much energy you have. Having more energy will allow you burn more energy and that can be a good thing.

Eat nutritious foods. One of reason most people feel hungry frequently is because they eat what is called "empty foods". Foods that satisfy you in the volume sense but not nutritionally. Such foods stress your body out and give it so much work to do. What happens is that you eat nutritionally poor foods like junk foods and then you body gets to work trying to digest it and use the nutrients contained in the junk food. However, after going through all the hard work the body notices that there is not enough nutrients and energy for it to live on. It then sends a signal to your brain to get your to eat more since that is the only way it can get the required nutrition. This is not good for your stomach or your body.

The more you continue to eat the more your body has to work to deal with the food eaten. More stress is therefore put on the digestive system and less on the cleansing system which is how the body gets rid of unnecessary pounds on you. Eat nutritious and good wholesome foods if you really want to lose weight. The kind that nature intended for us to eat. Not junk foods or manmade foods that our bodies were not meant to deal with.
