Looking at the choices when considering taking the P90X2 Workouts on the road.
Can I do P90X2 Workouts on the Road With All the Equipment?
One of the important aspects of any work out program for your home is it’s versatility to allow you to keep up with it on the road.
We are an increasingly mobile culture and the choice to travel to make a living is often not a choice at all. The election is made the imperative for survival. Against this backdrop, the P90X2 workoutswere brought to market with a twist that seemed to preclude it’s use for road trips. The P90X2 workoutshave additional equipment requirements to be done effectively, particularly the large balance ball that you use for many of the exercises.
It would seem that this would preclude you doing the P90X2 workouts on the road. While I am sure there are plenty of ways to make it happen if you really sat down and thought it through, the problem goes back to a lot of what has bedeviled the program from the beginning. The perception issues with users about it being too complicated and at the same time not being hard enough. This is what has dominated the discussion points for way too long.
The P90X2 workouts are so non-traditional and have so confused the public about what they are really about, that it seems like there is nothing you can do as opposed to nothing you can’t do. It’s not the classic way of working out that people become so used to in the context of P90X.
My thoughts would be to mix in the P90X2 workouts that you can effectively do and bring those on the road with you. What is the harm of doing the P90X stuff instead? What are you missing? You aren’t missing anything. In fact, if you aren’t on the road a lot this might be the way to go. When you do some other programs or workouts while doing P90X2 you might get a new appreciation for P90X2.
P90X2 is one of those workouts that creates performance results as well as results in appearance. So what happens is you get all the benefits that you can only measure when you go and do other things. I will say unequivocally that you will notice increased performance in other things and other programs. You credit the unique training style of P90X2 that increases your odds of being more flexible, more agile and have greater stamina, not to mention core strength. Don’t feel like you have to take P90X2 on the road if you don’t want to.
