How good of a fit are the P90X2 dvds
I don’t mind admitting that I ain’t what I used to be.
I guess that goes for anyone over a certain age when it comes to physical fitness. However the idea that I can’t in some ways be better never really occurred to me until I started getting serious about finding the best equipment and the best instruction going so you can have yourself the best possible chance for success. I started to see between the Insanity with Shaun T and the P90X2 dvdsto name a few, that there was serious opportunity to make gains I never knew were possible.
I am here to tell you that particularly with the beachbody products that if you do what is asked with regard to the moves, the form and what you eat and when you will be blown away. The most important thing for those of us over the age of 50 is that it we do it and not be able to hurt ourselves. Then secondarily we want to know that we can actually do the workout. Can we do the moves? I’ll have no problem at least sticking with it. I mean it’s not like we are in the rocking chair playing Uno or something all day.
But the reality with the P90X2 DVDsand it’s predecessor P90X is that you are talking a tremendous amount of exertion and effort. The P90X2 DVDsparticularly are so tough that it is recommended that you don’t do them without having already done a satisfactory job completing P90X. My own experience tells me that people over 50 can absolutely do P90X or the P90X2 DVDs and do them very well.
A few thoughts I think might help you taken from own experience dealing with the program when you are of a certain age. First, put a premium on rest. Those first couple weeks when you are going to be your most sore, is when you need to absolutely maniacal about getting your best, most efficient sleep. I stress the importance in my daily life of sleeping between certain hours. One of the thing like about sleeping between say 10 and 6 is that it seems to give you best deepest sleep.
The other major thing is take the P90X2 dvdsin stages understanding that you will see great gains in quantum form after a certain amount of time depending on your individual body issues. Don’t panic if you get say 4 weeks in and you feel like you aren’t progressing like you would hope.
