We have 4 between our two girls. I was always taught that your car seat is only as good as the install and these car seats are wonderfully easy to install. They are also super comfy rear and forward facing.

Someone did mention that there is a sticker right smack dab in the middle of the seat - on the child's back and that it gets hot in the summer. That's right we live in Phoenix,A Honest Review About Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat Articles AZ and we leave ice packs covering the plastic and metal parts of the straps while we run errands etc during the summer, and I just have a small washcloth I will cover that sticker with to avoid burning my children. It’s fine, no big deal.

This seat Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seatsaved my 11 month olds life in a serious collision.Three days ago, my husband, myself and our two youngest children (3 years & 11 mos) were hit head on by a drunk driver at highway speed in our minivan. We were hit and the spun 180 across two lanes and into a ditch and embankment. My 11 month old was in this car seat, middle row, drivers side. She is the only one in our vehicle that was totally and completely unscathed! When I pulled my baby out of her seat and saw that she was completely unharmed...not even a bruise I just kept repeating “the car seat did it’s job! It did it’s job!” Over and over.I am impressed. I am thankful. I will be buying this seat all over again to replace the one we just lost.

Yes, the straps are hard to adjust at first until you wear them in. No big deal. I think car seats are like that.Great seat otherwise. I researched so many seats and this one finally made me feel comfortable.

Pros:- I LOVE that you can adjust the headrest and avoid having to re-thread the harness since it just moves up and down with the headrest.- It looks and feels very comfortable.- There is extra padding that can easily be removed around the head and on the bottom- Easy to read level that shows you the angle the seat should be at, based on your child's age (however, a weight rather than age would seem more appropriate to go by)- There is a hook behind the seat to store the LATCH hooks when not in use- We don't need the extra space that the extender offers right now, but it's a great feature to have.- We ordered the "Gotham" color and I really like it - very neutralCons:- Why can't the cup holders come already installed? Step 1 is to install them and I was ready to return it already!- The cup holders are square - they were fine for now, using with a small bottle, but I'm not sure if a normal sized sippy cup would fit- There is a cover over the release button to loosen the harness. It's kind of difficult to get to since the flap doesn't lift all the way up - someone with larger hands might have difficulty pressing the button- Possibly because it's brand new, but I noticed it's hard to get the straps as tight as I'd feel comfortable with.- Despite everything I know and have learned about car seats, the instruction manual says to put a car seat cover or towel under the seat (a big no-no when talking to car seat installation technicians) Yet, from the research I've done, Graco does not sell one nor do they recommend one that is compatible with their car seats.- The buckle was under my daughter when we put her in it, so we had to move it to the further one - this proved to be a pain since you have to get your hand in a small area under the car seat and maneuver it just right to slide it through the hole in order to move it. However, now that it's done, it's done and we won't have to mess with it again.
