A lot better color accuracy,Why LED TV? Articles contrast and a much thinner screen are just few reasons why LED TV becomes more popular each day. Though this technology comes with an extra cost for sure the extra money is worth it. Accuracy and high picture quality and for some the thickness is obviously the basis for those who wanted to buy a TV. Though maybe there are still people who would think of why buying a new TV when the TV that they own is still in superb condition.

There are still people who are confused or do not understand what an LED television is because there are companies like Samsung, LG and Toshiba who uses the term LCD TV screens with LED backlights. Sony on the other hand just uses the term LCD TV in all their TV models even though they are using the LED backlight. So is an LED TV an LCD TV? The answer would be yes. Yes in the sense that the LED TV is still using the liquid-crystal to display an image, but it is called LED TV because instead of using the cold cathode fluorescent lamp for lighting an edge-lit is used.

As mentioned above, LED TV cost more than the CCFL LCD TV but why many people spends more money just to own one. Well, LED TV is thin, very modern looking and can be easily installed. Crisis is what everybody is experiencing so why buy that costly LED TV?

To let you know LED TV requires lower power consumption than the common Cold Cathode Fluorescent TV (CCFL LCD TV). An Edge-lit LED TV is preferred over the RGB LED TV because it consumes 30 – 40% less power than any other type of LCD TV. LED lights are brighter than the Fluorescent light so it is expected that the LED TV has brighter images compared to standard LCD. The brightness works well especially in a bright room with plenty of daylight. Daylight reflection is not a problem because it has a non-reflective screen plus a brighter picture. The RGB LED shows a much enhanced picture when paired with local dimming over that with traditional LCD TV.

Another thing is the LED TV has a better color accuracy and contrast ratio. They said that the LED technology is the best combination between the plasma and LCD TV because it has an image quality the same with that of a plasma screen and still using the liquid crystal display.

There are buyers who cannot distinguish the important differences between the plasma TV and the LED TV so it is advisable that before deciding on what model of TV you wanted to buy think of the following things first.

1. The devices you will connect to your TV.
2. The audio video output.
3. The type of connections you need.

Luckily most LED TV has various connections that can cater your every need.
