Some iPhone critics predicted that the lack of a physical keyboard of the Apple iPhone will be one of the reasons for its failure. But the Apple Company made sure that iPhone users do not face problems with the multi-touch keyboard and took the proactive steps in educating users on how to use the iPhone's innovative soft keyboard.

Here's a round-up of all the tips and tricks that will help you keep your messages flowing and as error-free as possible.

On typing a letter. A letter isn't entered until you lift your finger off a key. So if you touch a wrong letter or symbol by accident when typing,iPhone Tips And Tricks: Today's Focus - Keyboard Articles simply slide your finger to the one you meant to type. Let go when the correct letter or symbol appears.
On using the iPhone keyboard suggestion feature effectively. This feature is useful when it comes to contractions. Normally, you have to switch to a secondary punctuation keyboard to find the apostrophe, to perfect contractions. But with the suggestion feature you do not have to worry about the apostrophe anymore. Just type “im,” “dont,” “cant” and so on. The iPhone proposes “I’m,” “don’t,” or “can’t,” so that you can just tap the Space bar to fix the word and continue.

If you want to use contractions like “he'll” or “we'll”, not inserting an apostrophe between “he and will” or “we and will” doesn't give you your desired result. This is because both words will give you a different meaning. A better way to do this is to put a third “l”. Example, if you want to come up with “he'll”, simply type “helll”, the keyboard auto-correct feature will suggest “he'll”. This also works wit “were” and “we're”, type “weree” and then the feature will suggest “we're.”

Now, you need to remember two things. 1) To accept a suggested word you either tap the space, punctuation mark or hit return. 2) To reject the keyboard's correction, finish typing the word you want and then tap on the word itself.

On capitalizing a letter or entire word. To capitalize the first letter of a word, just tap the shift key and then tap the letter you want to capitalize. If you want to capitalize the entire word, just go to settings and then tap general, tap keyboard, and then tap "Enable Caps Lock". When you double tap the shift key it will light up blue, and now you will be able to type in all caps.
