Every system works in a certain capacity and we can dissect each system to point out important components of it and their purpose in the system. The ecosystem is a very large and varied system that we still do not fully understand but we know the basics of it; every action of ours results in a chain reaction that we don’t even know about. So when we trigger certain environmental changes, we also trigger natural disasters which then adversely affect the economy which we again, try to stabilize. This article discusses the entire process mentioned.

In the grander scheme of things,The Relation of Ecosystem and the Economy: Moving Beyond Biology Articles every individual plays a significant part that then leads to a certain reaction. This is more commonly known as a chain reaction or the domino effect. The point is that there is nothing in a system that is coincidental; everything happens for a reason and the reason is more often than not, the actions of an individual. This applies to any system, be it the ecosystem or the economic system of a country or the world. Interestingly enough, the ecosystem is closely related to the economic system and environment of a country. In the coming discussion, we will talk about how this happens.

An ecosystem is a complicated and fragile system; there are millions and millions of organisms on this Earth and they all play their specific roles that cannot be negated or disregarded. We might not know about all such species and their specific roles but science has uncovered quite a significant portion of the mystery. When we talk about the ecosystem, we can naturally not ignore the human interaction with the environment. Human interaction is where the problem begins; over time, we have slaughtered and sacrificed many living beings in order to ensure own survival. What we did not see is that in killing other beings, we set up a trap for our own destruction. Case in point: we build buildings over flood plains and earthquake sites and cut down trees. Several years down the line, the likelihood of soil erosion, flooding and earthquakes increases and this time when it happens, the intensity is greater than the last time. So every action of ours results in a catastrophe.

From an environmental point of view, currently climate change is causing lesser problems than human interference with nature is; flooding currently makes up the highest number of natural disasters and it is caused by deforestation and building on flood plains. Economically, any event that causes such a large loss of human life is damaging. It disturbs your social system, displaces people and of course requires time and capital to rehabilitate the victims. In this whole cycle, there are individuals or companies that help the economy by providing them with humanitarian aid; the relief supplier. This kind of relationship helps the country’s economy by not burdening it with the immediate cost of relief supplies and then also provides rehabilitation aid.

Every relief supplier exists in this chain because they are efficient and effective and this is what is needed at the time of a disaster. UNHCR is known as the biggest relief supplier alongside other semi-private and private organizations that manufacture relief supplies on their own and then distribute them to people in need. Relief supplies are in the form of tents, blankets, utensils, etc. All these items have to be up to a certain standard and made of sustainable, reliable material so that the victims receive the best care. This is how the economy is affected by the ecosystem and how the economy itself is then stabilized by man.

Solar Energy: The New Age Solution to Energy Crisis?

There has been an energy crisis around the world for years now. In fact, it would be much more accurate to say that there has been an environmental crisis around the globe for years now. This has happened as a consequence of our repeated carelessness towards the environment and taking natural resources for granted. Now the time has come where we are actively suffering from these hideous consequences in terms of drastic environmental changes, natural disasters and climate changes. A ray of hope in this otherwise bleak situation is to shift to renewable sources of energy in order to maintain a self-sustainable environment. This article discusses the importance of such options.
