Some women may experience break through bleeding when pregnancy that may be confused with an illness or consequence of stress. Such incidence of bleeding must, however, not be ignored because it is important for a woman to avail prenatal care right after conception. This breakthrough bleeding is red or pinkish in colour as opposed to the dark red colour of menstrual bleeding.

Women may also be able to determine if they are pregnant by checking their body temperature. Even if it has been a few days after fertilisation took place, a woman would experience a rise in their temperature. If after measuring your body temperature you think that it is on the higher side, will usually be higher by 1 degree Celsius, you may be pregnant. This rise in temperature will also make you irritable and moody.

Pregnancy is a great experience and a source for happiness for couples and family members alike. Since women go through a storm of emotions and while they are excited and happy one moment, they get unhappy the next. It is only to one's advantage to be able to identify the symptoms of pregnancy early on and plan for the 40 weeks.
