People want to look their best and ensure that they leave a lasting impact.  The most popular New Year resolution in the world is that of going on a diet and of course very few actually stick to it. One such diet plan which is not as popular as these above mentioned ones but has gained popularity among some people is the blood group diet.This blood group diet recommends people to eat as per the needs of their different blood types. The plan is divided into four sections of food plans for the 4 basic blood groups namely, A, B, ABO and O.The AB blood type diet is to be followed by people who belong to the rare category of less than 5% in the world who have AB blood group. This is the combination of blood groups A and B and those who have this have been advised to make tofu, different kinds of vegetables and varied varieties of fish a part of their nutrition. This has only been around for about 1000 years and most foods that are bad for the Type A and Type B persons are also bad for the Type AB person, with the exception of tomatoes since they can tolerate tomato lectins well. Like those belonging to A, AB people do not produce enough hydrochloric stomach acid to digest animal protein well, such as red meat and poultry, yet they do need some animal protein. Therefore, portion size is important, and the frequency has to be less. This blood group of people has it somewhat easier than those belonging to other blood groups as they have lesser restrictions in their AB blood type diet. They should however exercise portion control and eat at a less to moderate frequency. The kinds of foods that should be not consumed are corn, buckwheat, tomatoes, processed foods contain refined sugars, red meat, kidney and lima beans, seeds and wheat so as to ensure weight loss and stay lean and energetic. Kelp and pineapple are said to be very good for people having this blood group who want to lose weight.These foods will further intensify the weak points of the AB blood group, which include diseases and disorders such as low levels of stomach acid, asthma, frequent infections and excess mucus in the stomach. However, overall, these people generally suffer and are less prone to diseases than their other blood group counterparts, so that is a good point for people having this blood group. Behavioral traits have been defined of these people. They are more inclined to deep thoughts and analyze every detail minutely and they tend to feel sad as well. Due to this, they may not even get enough sleep.
