Sex might be related with hormones but there exists absolutely no relationship between sex and the secretion of sebum by the sebaceous glands. In addition to that there is a relationship between hormones and anger or stress but what is their relationship with acne is still not very clear amongst experts.

It is also an acne myth to think that acne cannot be cured till its normal time period is elapsed. We have so many acne treatments available that the only effort that you need to make is to consult a dermatologist and you would find solution to your acne problem. Similarly, it is purely an acne myth that acne would only affect teenagers and up to an age of twenty or so. It is true for many cases but there are many who experience acne very late for the first time.

And the acne myth about makeup is a bit correct because makeup might clog your pores but you would find that if you use makeup labeled noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic, you would not run the risk of getting acne.

Thus, from now on you should not take care of what others have to say about acne. Most of them are acne myths.
