Once you opt for a liquid or surgical facelift and that includes strings, your face will never be the same.

Oh you might be one of the lucky ones that resist infection, you might even like the new look that has been developed but one of these days, you will get real about these invasive, risky processes.

The reality of fading youth has begun to taint the senses.

For a while the sway, the lure of youthfulness was in our consciousness with entertainment television shows depicting desperate people clamoring to change their appearance.

Today we see air brushed models and photo-shopped celebrities that we admire taunting us with their flawless appearances in magazines. The lines of reality have been blurred as we watch our youth slip away.

Looking in the mirror only to see a less appealing version of ourselves is a shocker indeed.  It is startling to discover jowls and pouches forming or a hooded eye developing.  These tell-tale signs of aging can easily devastate our confidence and our self esteem.

Aging seems different today.  Pro-aging, successful aging, anti-aging are topics discussed and discussed many, many times on a daily basis.  Women, especially, visit and revisit their aging faces. The consensus is that they want to look the best they can.

The male Boomers', those fun loving hippies of the 60's, are turning 60 and they, too, want to look good.  The question is:  What is the happy balance that provides comfort and ease?  Is it surgery or is it something else?

Looking your best can easily be achieved. There is process does not include injecting paralyzing toxins or cutting perfectly healthy tissue.  As one writer recently stated, "…most men and women of a certain age are satisfied to go gentle into that good night."

Exercise allows that to happen.  Easily.  Quickly.  Naturally.

It is true, facial muscles can be retrained just like ab or arm muscles.  Resistance exercise works for the body and for the face.  Those hidden muscles that support your skin can be exercised in such a way that years can be dropped from the face almost immediately as features lift, stress melts away and lines smooth.

The bottom line is that we care about our appearance.  We carefully choose our wardrobes, accessories, shoes, cars, products, food, relationships... our life is about our choices.

Surgery and other modalities of face-saving techniques never works in our favor yet exercise that uses resistance always works for every face.

Aging in the face is just like aging in the body; you can disguise flabby arms and thighs with clothing but how can one mask jowls, pouches, a double chin and more?

Creams and concealers will not hide the type of aging caused by sagging facial muscles, neither will make-up.  The pro-active choice to disguise aging is facial exercise.  It's natural, it's safe and there is no risk.

Exercise allows us to feel comfortable in our own skin.  Surgery and injections may physically alter the face in such a way that even our closest friends may not easily recognize us.  Saving your face from the inside out is seriously smart, saves you money and keeps you safe.

Facial exercise will change the way you think about your appearance as you witness subtle yet definite lifting, toning and sculpting that occurs on a daily basis.  The movements are easy to learn and to execute them requires only a few minutes a day.  The youthful results are long lasting.

No drugs, no surgery, no injections – it just makes sense
