When we shift from one season to another,Simple Tips for Winter Beauty Articles we also change out routine. There are certain imperatives to healthy skin in winter, which is a time for the skin to get dry if not cared of. And the skin will dry irrespective of your skin type. Below are some tips to make sure your skin is healthy i.e. just as you want during winter.

To get the Blood Flowing

Blood circulation is very important for the skin to be healthy. Try to:

Exercise every day. Follow a routine of aerobics and cardio to loosen muscles and joints.

Start the day with a hot shower. The hot shower will awaken the cells and regulate blood flow.

Before getting out of the shower, switch hot water to cold for about 15 secs and back to hot water for 15 secs. Repeat the cycle for about 2 minutes. This is a type of hydrotherapy that revitalises the skin by stimulating flow of blood throughout the body.

If you follow these, you will have a soft and supple skin throughout winter.

Get yourself a protective day-care cream of an appropriate SPF to protect your skin against outdoor elements.

Keep your lips moisturised because chapped lips are most noticeable in cold weather. Invest in a lip balm that has vitamin E in it. Keep reapplying the lip balm after every 2-3 hours to keep the lips looking fresh and soft.

Exfoliate the skin once in two days. Dead cells pile up more in winter than any other season. This layer of dead cells will only build-up every time you rub moisturiser on it. So, make sure you exfoliate regularly. If you do not have an exfoliater, mix honey and brown sugar in a cup and rub it on your face in the morning.

Detoxify your body with ample amount of water. This goes for all seasons, especially winter. If you cannot gulp down water of room temperature, heat it up. You could also drink lemon juice.

Make sure you sleep for at least 6-7 hours every day. Sleep is the time when the body replenishes and rejuvenates.

Protect your skin from the sun by applying sunscreen before stepping out. A sunscreen works best when it is applied twenty minutes before stepping outdoors. Buy sunscreens that have natural elements in it such as cocoa butter, aloe vera, herbal oils, etc.

Bathe with natural soaps or soaps with high fat content.
