But,A Brief Guide to Follow When You Are Relocating With Your Plants Articles now that you realize that it’s possible to move them, maybe you should really consider bringing with you that lovely rose plant which you have been nurturing since you were young or that beautiful shrub which has been a part of your family garden for generations. When you look closely at your plants now, you recognize that they have become a valuable part of your life. Hence, bringing a few pieces with you will allow you to take along not only your plants but wonderful creations which have become a part of your growth as a person.

But before you move your plants, understand that they are delicate in nature. They can easily succumb to wilting and destruction. It’s the reason why Austin Moving Company has come up with a brief guide to help you out when you are relocating with your plants.

One of the first things that Austin Moving Company wants you to undertake is to prepare your chosen plants for your move. It is important that you keep them in a healthy and strong state. You have to water them daily, fertilize the soil and if needed be kill the pests that attack their growth. It’s necessary that you prepare your plants to be at their prime in order for them to survive the stresses of relocation.

Plants are usually ensconced in clay or ceramic pots. If your favorite flowers are planted in this way, you need to have them transplanted into plastic containers 2-3 weeks prior to your move. Clay and ceramic pots are heavy and they are highly-breakable so it’s crucial that you do some transplanting to protect not only your plants but your expensive pots, too.

On the day of the move, one of your main concerns is how to pack your plants so that they remain alive by the time you reach your new home. Whenever possible put your plants in container boxes. These will ensure that they can be hold still together and won’t go about in a falling mess inside the moving truck. Remember on the day of the move to water your plants. Avoid having them water-logged and be sure to drain off the excess prior to putting them all in their boxes. To keep them hydrated, cover your plants with damp paper towels or newspapers in them. Another helpful tip so that your plants won’t be difficult to pack is to have them pruned a week before you move.
