Make an Appointment

Choose a day that works best for you and call ahead to make an appointment. If you are planning to have a party and want things to look nice, try to set things up the day before. If you want help cleaning up after the party, schedule for the next day. You will probably need to be there at the beginning to give them access to the house, so choose a time that you can be home. Usually, you will not have to be there for the house cleaning.

Make a List

It helps to have a list of things that are most important to you. House cleaning usually has a time limit and you want to make sure that the problem area is taken care of first. Typically, the bathrooms and kitchens are the areas of the home that need the most attention. You can make a note of this as well as other important items to do. This leaves plenty of room to get all of the work done. It may even save time to pick up some of the rugs in the house and place them outside until all of the work is done.

If you choose to leave a check at the house, make sure that all of the information is filled out correctly. You can also call and give a credit card number over the phone. When the work is completed, be sure to look over the house and give positive feedback if you are happy with the work. Also, call the same house cleaning company again if you are pleased with the work they did. As a frequent customer, you will find that less explanation is required and more importantly, you will know when you leave that you will be coming back to a beautiful, clean home.
