Napoleon propane fireplaces cleaning tips

1.  Disconnect the Napoleon propane fireplaces from the propane source (tank) before embarking on any clean up exercise.
2. Open the door of the Napoleon propane fireplace and switch of the pilot light. Scrape any accumulated dirt from the wall of the fireplace using a putty knife. Move the burners a little bit to get rid of any soot that has accumulated from the grates and the burners.
3. Use a broom to reach the flue area and clean any soot or dirt that could be sticking on the walls. This helps in the maintenance of a good smell during the burning without an uncomfortable smell of burning lingering soot.
4. Clean the grates of the Napoleon propane fireplaces of any dirt or soot using a knife to scrape it away. Do the same to any other part of the inner surface using the same method.
5. Clean the floor using a vacuum to get rid of any dirt or soot that could have fallen down in the process of the fireplace cleaning. Do the same on the burners to avoid black smoke from generating when the fire is running. Using some warm water, wet a cloth and damp-wipe every other part of the Napoleon propane fireplaces (this can be used on the Napoleon natural gas fireplace as well) to get rid for greasy residues that have been left by propane.

After this is done, reconnect the Napoleon propane fireplaces to the propane source and after you are sure that it is properly connected, you are ready to go.
