E-filing of income tax return without using electronic signatures:

In this case you have to make an ITR-V form and you have to submit that form to income tax office via ordinary post which will require much time. Once the document reaches the income tax office then filing process will start and after that file will be signed by the required person.

Uploading your income tax return file online using electronic signature:

Following are the steps to be followed while uploading your e-file of income tax return online:

  • Prepare your income tax return e-file and then generate the XML file and save it.

  • Now login to income tax return website.

  • Click on the option where it’s mentioned that submit return click it by providing year.

  • After selecting the income tax return form. Now select the type of digital signature and then after signing upload your income tax return e-file.
