Audi, the Germany luxury car manufacturer had gross highest ever monthly sales of 1011 vehicles, in September 2012. It is one of the world’s leading premium brands and is among the most admired on the world market. It set up its own sales company through the allotment of Volkswagen Group Sales for India in March 2007. They have an ambitious growth plans.

It set up its own sales company through the allotment of Volkswagen Group Sales for India in March 2007. They have an ambitious growth plans. Their goal is to become the leading automobile luxury brand in the Indian market in the next few years. In India it has won 27 awards for class defining products that validates their position in India’s luxury car market. A8L and A6 have bagged seven awards each.

 

They have reached to the no.2 position in sales performance in very short period of time. It maintains the position of the fastest growing luxury car brand in India. It has also attracted a wide spectrum of people in India. They have achieved the no.1 luxury car brand in social media by having maximum number of fans on its Facebook page. They have 17 centres and are planning to expand its network by the end of 2012. Recently they have opened the showroom in Nagpur and Delhi. The model range in India includes A4, A6, A7, A8L, Q5, Q7, RS5, TT and R8 available in the big cities of country.

 

It was founded by August Horch in 1909, after his partner sued him for using the same brand name “Horch” till 1899. The models of 1920’s were luxurious and started becoming successful in the racing tracks. The four overlapping rings were created to represent the union of the four German car manufacturers. Then the Silver Arrows dominated the GP car racing from 1934 onwards and established records that were equalled in 1980 by turbocharged F1 cars. The A4 is Audi’s bestseller for 39 years now. They have been sold ten million such models in total. It was launched in mid-2008 in India. This car fulfilled a range of facilities starting from two powerful engine options to good mileage.

 

The A4, with its elegance, sportiness and emotional appeal had formed the centre piece of the brand. There is a new look with horizontal lines at the front end. Keeping the problem of fuel price in mind, the efficiency of fuel has improved by 10 percent in the new A4. The legroom has increased for rear passengers. A4 is available across the country from INR 27,33,000 onwards. They have been steadfast in expanding their network so as to achieve the target of selling at least 8000 cars by the end of this year.

 

 

In India, in partnership with Skoda, completely imported parts of its cars are getting assembled now at the Aurangabad plant of Skoda Auto. With the growth of the Indian car market, the success of it in India, the maker of fine cars has also been growing. They have lived up to the expectations and have also been accepted by consumers of India. These cars give really a comfort on Indian roads.
