Ford Mustang enthusiasts have plenty to be excited about. In addition to the Mustang’s complete redesign for 2010, the 2011 Mustang will get powerful and fuel efficient engines to help leave the Camaro in its dust. In addition, the Ford Racing just took the wraps off of the all-new Boss 302R that will surely be a crowd pleaser.
The new Boss is specifically designed for the track and comes from the factory ready race with a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. In addition to the power under the hood, this Mustang also features a roll-cage, race seats, safety harnesses, and a Brembo brake package. Unfortunately, there will only be 50 of these cars available.
The all new Boss 320R is the successor to the Mustang FR500C released in 2005. These vehicles are unique as Ford is one of the few automakers that sell factory-built race cars that can be ordered at any dealer.
If you’re interested in getting one of these limited edition Mustangs, they begin at just under $80K. Look for it to become available in the third quarter of 2010. The Mustang Boss 301R will also be shown at the Detroit Auto Show.
The Boss Mustang remains a special car for Mustang fans notes Birmingham Ford dealers and the latest Boss is surely going to impress Mustang and racing enthusiasts alike.
