Among in the list of the programs were: slide presentations of accomplishment reports for the year, strategic planning for the following year and recognition of exemplary achievers for the current year. For every report, specific key personnel are assigned to present it in front of the whole MGT Enterprises community. Apart from the laser pointer to be used for the program, Atty. Lucas handed him a separate box containing a laser pointer. It was a token so to speak. Atty. Delange thanked him for the new laser pointer.
Atty. Delange silently admired the laser pointer given him. On the rostrum, Atty. He composed himself and scanned once more the program. Suddenly, he heard Miss Links call his name and he immediately proceeded to the rostrum to join her.
The program opened with a prayer and followed by welcome remarks from the President and CEO of MGT Enterprises, Mr. Marlon Ticao. Mr. Ticao congratulated the whole personnel for a job well done and encouraged everyone to be attentive to the reports to be presented.
First to be tasked to present his report is Mr. Dennis Muxle, the operations manager. Atty. Delange offered him the laser pointer. Mr. Muxle started out giving the overview of the company’s performance for the year and proceeded with details of the accomplishments. By using the laser pointer, he was able to effectively deliver the reports. Also, with the use of the laser pointer, the audience is encouraged to listen as it is very to follow the report.
The second person tasked to present is Miss Faye Dawn, the planning officer of the company. She is tasked to explain strategic planning of the organization to meet goals and objectives. She delivered the report very well with the aid of the laser pointer. A topic involving planning is always very boring. But with the laser pointer, everyone paid attention. Strategies and plans of actions are listed. Considering the enumerations, sometimes the audience tends to get lost at the middle of the discussion but with a laser pointer, everyone can follow with much ease.
The MGT Enterprises dashing personnel manager, Miss Andrea Bell, came up the stage with the most conspicuous red Spanish dress. She is notably well poised and her voice is very well-modulated. With such voice, delivery of the presentation is paid with much attention and enthusiasm. She is tasked to recognized achievers for the year. Personnel with commendable efforts were asked to stand to be recognized by the whole body. At the end of his presentation, she reported key areas to be improved by key personnel as well as by the rank and file. She also used the laser pointer to emphasize the importance of this topic for the success of the whole business organization.
Miss Links ended the part one of the program and proceeded to the dinner proper. Martin’s band was specially requested and paid to play during the activity. They entertained the MGT Enterprises employees with old, classic songs as well as pop songs.
