Several years ago,Should You Start Your Own Business? Articles I went to see my attorney about starting a new business and he gave me the best business advice for free.  He asked me if I would feel comfortable not getting a paycheck.  I looked dumbfounded and asked him what does this have to do with me seeking legal advice to form a corporation.  He said that he wanted to make sure that I was ready to be a business owner.  What does it mean to be ready to be a business owner.  It means that you have to let go of needing a steady paycheck.  If you feel that you cannot survive without a paycheck, then you are not ready to own your business.  Every business has its risks and rewards.  You have heard of business that made millions, which is more money that you could earn as an employees.  Those are the good stories.  There are also just as many businesses that failed causing the owners lost all of their savings.  The really successful business owners are the ones who have failed and bounced back.  In fact, Donald Trump, has filed for bankruptcy and re-started his business.    For myself, I decided to put all of my money into building www.chinesetakeoutmenu.com.  With limited budget, I had to figure a way to build this website and not get a paycheck for the next year or two.   At first, it was very scarey.  I had no idea how I can survive without a paycheck.   Now I feel fine. Although I will continue to sweat and not sleep at night without a steady paychec, I know that I will be a survivor and my business will take off soon.  In the meantime, you will not be seeing me out at fine restaurants or taking luxury trip around the world.
