Valves are usually apparatus which control the flow of substances. Pneumatic valves play a vital role in the operation of air-filled machineries,What are Pneumatic Valves? Articles and are pivotal in structuring the design of various systems driven on the principle of pneumatics. These valves which use this mechanism regulate the movement of compressed air to stop or allow their flow.  These valves are easy to install, cost efficient and robust.  As these valves are gaining popularity, they are manufactured in various styles and designs.

A pneumatic valve uses compacted air, to release or compress air within a mechanical structure. However as these valves can be operated manually or can be scheduled automatically switches, buttons, levers etc. are used, which helps to regulate the flow of air.

Composition: Pneumatic valves are manufactured in various kinds and used widely in complex systems by engineers who use them in industrial and commercial environments. Quality is the prime factor while manufacturing pneumatic valves, so all manufacturers, adhere to stringent quality checks as they are subjected to intensive pressure and temperature environments.

Design: They are available in varied styles, designs to suit multiple functions design of a pneumatic valve typically depends on the application it will be used in. They can be easily customised and often made to order to suit various purposes. Some of the extensively used types are listed below in detail.

Dual Way Valves: These kinds of valves have dual entry and outlet ports or spouts, namely known as the supply and the output ports. Air passes through the supply port and then moves along the output port to exit from one location to another. This simplest application which is carried within the dual way valves. For example: This application can be widely traced in an exhaust fan where air is distributed with the help of supply and output ports respectively in two steps.

Triple Way Valves:  These valves were manufactured with an aim to serve three efficient functions, namely to supply, transport and exhaust air. Triple valves are popular as they simplify three complex tasks and system structures. Air can be regulated by manual as well as automated valves. These kinds of valves are used widely in lifts which types of valves are commonly found in lifts which function on pneumatic principle and air brake systems.

Momentary and Non-Momentary Valves

There are sub groups of dual and triple way valves. When force is applied manually or by automation techniques momentary valves allow air to pass and the vice versa happens in non-momentary valves.

Multiple Way Valves

Multiple way valves have supply, output and exhaust ports, usually more than one. There are manufactured on a large scale as they serve multiple purposes simultaneously. They are ideally used in industries which function by using two applications. For example, the multiple valves used in cylinders which although supply air one direction but assist in performing multiple tasks.
