It's important to know what to expect in a job interview. Here's some techniques to use for how to figure out what's going to be in the interview and how to answer.

Generally I see four types of high level interview questions: behavioural,How to ace your interview Articles situational, SME and general.

When you're trying to figure out what questions you'll be asked in the interview, the Job Description in your best friend.

Study it and it will reveal what's important in the job. So if it talks about being able to manage difficult customers you know it's likely you'll get a behavioural question around managing customers. 

If it talks about working with a particular control framework then you might get a situational question based around that. 

Along with studying the JD, here's a few more quick fire tips to help you prep:

  • Do your homework on the company
  • Google hot topics
  • Prepare some answers
  • Phrase your answers to highlight your best behaviours
  • Try and get compfortable.
