Even though nursing is your dream job, you have to understand STNA risks experienced by others.

Not all nursing assistants are recognized by other people. Sometimes, you may have to work hard and toil yourself. But, you may not be recognized by others in the same hospital. You may not get recognition for your work and the nursing staff in the hospital may not be kind with you. In nursing assistant jobs, turnover rate is high because of this single major reason. Every person wants to be appreciated professionally and this expectation may fail sometimes when you are a nursing assistant. A nursing assistant is expected to work hard and deal problems with patients. Even if you successfully resolve issues, you may not be appreciated by higher officials and doctors.

STNA risks are associated with the responsibilities of a nursing assistant. You have to maintain good relationship with patients and nursing staff. Not all patients will be cooperative. Being a nursing assistant, you have to help the patients in bathing, dressing, feeding, and other personal tasks. This is not easy, especially with non cooperating patients. You must not lose your patience when you are dealing with sick people. You need to listen to their demands and perform your nursing duties as much as you can. You need to have good emotional balance as you have to face hundreds of people everyday. 

Dealing with nursing staff also becomes difficult if you don’t have a good relationship with them. You have to know the necessary medical equipments needed and keep them ready when the staff arrives. You need to listen to the nursing staff and deliver your duties patiently. Normally, they will not be very patient and you have to be highly tolerant while dealing with certain people. 

As nursing assistants must act like a bridge between the nursing staff and patients, they often run out of time. They feel like they are pressurized to do their job. STNA risks are high when you are more stressed. You won't have anyone to express your emotions while you are on duty. This makes many nurse assistants to quit their job. Salaries for new nurse assistants are not very attractive. Without experience, you can't ask for more. You have to work more than what you are paid. This increases the stress level of nursing assistants, as they have to make their living with a small salary. 

To cope up with STNA risks and move up in the ladder, you have to love your job. You should not take up nursing assistant profession just to make money. You have to be dedicated and understand your responsibilities fully in order to be successful with your profession.
