Use Outlook 2016 for a better update on your account. 

Follow these steps:

• Open Outlook 2016 on your computer and then click on the File tab from the top left of the window.
• Then, you need to click on the Add Account option to open the account addition wizard on your computer. 
• Now, you need to choose the Manual Setup or Additional Server Types option and then select the IMAP or POP option. 
• After that, you need to enter the email address of your SBCGlobal email account and then the password. 
• Now, you should enter SBCGlobal email settings for Outlook in the next fields. 
• Here the SBCGlobal net Outlook Settings you need to enter to add the account. 
• Incoming mail server – imap.mail.att.net
• Outgoing mail server – smtp.mail.att.net
• Incoming mail port – 995
• Outgoing mail port – 465
• Now, you need to click on the More Settings option to open the new window to change some settings. 
• Now, you need to select ‘My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and also choose the ‘use same settings as my incoming mail server option. 
• After that, go to the Advanced tab and then enter the port we’ve listed above. 
• Now, you need to click on the OK, Next, and then Finish button.
