There has been tons of hype about the Windows OS on smartphones. The mobile phone industry is a difficult market for competitors because Apple and BlackBerry cornered a huge part of the market with their proprietary operating systems.

There has been lots of buzz about the Windows OS on mobile phones. The cell phone industry is a tough market for competitors because Apple and BlackBerry cornered a large part of the market with their proprietary operating systems. The competition has become even stronger since Google's Android OS operating system entered the market. Microsoft has always had a huge following in the PC industry, and they have been the dominant player for a long time. There have been tons of freeware applications and various operating systems that have tried to compete with the Windows OS. None of them have taken as much market share as Windows. The Microsoft OS is the official standards for computing.

The smart phone industry, however, is diversified. Everyone is leaning towards the Android at the moment, but Android does not have the same monopolistic stronghold that Windows has possessed. There is still room for competition, and Microsoft is fully aware of this.

The creators of Windows are optimistic that their OS will become a favorite for mobile phone users that love all the functionality that is found on a PC that contains a Windows operating system. This is logical reasoning because a large majority of PC owners use Windows. It’s only natural to assume that these individuals would feel comfortable with something that they are familiar with. This is the case with Windows. Most PC users already how to navigate through Windows, and the interface is recognizable. The transition of the OS to mobile phones would make the entire smart phone experience easier. The latest version of this OS is Windows 7, and fans are already considering the possibilities.
