The HTC HD Mini Provides A Wealth Of Features

HTC has been responsible for some of most impressive Smartphones available. One of their latest releases is a HD Mini, which cleverly packs an extensive list of features into a compact handset.

The phone measures 103.8x 57.7x 11.7 mm.  This makes it pocket friendly,The HTC HD Mini Provides A Wealth Of Features Articles whilst retaining high levels of functionality.

Measuring 3.2 inches, the TFT capacitive touchscreen can display up to 65K colours within a pixel layout of 320x 480 pixels.  The screen features an accelerometer sensor which automatically rotates the contents of the screen dependent upon the orientation of the phone.  This allows it to be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms. 

In order to alert users to incoming calls and messages, both vibration and ringing are utilised with the option to assign both MP3 and WAV music files as ringtones so users can customise their phone.

Along with the standard internal memory is 384 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM, an integrated micro SD card slot is also included.  This can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB which offers the potential to store a huge number of files such as music tracks, video clips and photos etc.  A convenient internal phonebook is included which can store a seemingly endless number of contacts and also has the Photocall feature included.

A number of different methods are utilised to provide users of their HD Mini with optimum levels of connectivity to the Internet and cellular networks.  Class 10 versions of both GPRS & EDGE provide the initial methods of connecting to cellular networks and the Internet in areas with little or no 3G coverage.  Where 3G coverage is available, access to the Internet is available at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second thanks to an HSDPA connection (along with an HSUPA connection at speeds of up to 2 MB per second).  Integrated Wi-Fi Technology allows a faster Internet connection to be achieved.

Budding photographers are well catered for with the HTC HD Mini thanks to integrated 5 mega pixel digital camera.  This operates at a high pixel resolution resulting in high quality still images.  The task of taking great photos is simplified somewhat thanks to Autofocus and touch focus.  Geo-tagging is also included which, thanks to GPS, automatically records the location at which a photo was taken.  Of course the camera can also shoot video footage and this is in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second. 

The everyday functionality of this handset is certainly impressive thanks to a long list of additional features and applications.  A versatile internal media player supports a range of file formats of both music and video files.  A stereo FM radio player with RDS and a number of pre-installed games add to the entertainment options.  Business users are sure to appreciate Pocket Office, which is a document viewer compatible with a number of Microsoft Office documents.  Other features include social networking integration and GPS with A-GPS support.

The HTC HD Mini is a very versatile handset which is sure to appeal thanks to its large number of features coupled with a compact handset.
