With the internet continuing to be a major player in the way we do things in our daily lives,How WYSIWYG Editors Make Your Website Creation Easier Articles it makes sense that building websites has blossomed into a huge thing.  Every day, someone is creating a website – yet they may not have the experience in coding that they might need to create a site.  Fortunately, there is another way any developer can go about putting together a webpage without all those hassles they would have to go through with manual coding:  using WYSIWYG editors.  These editors, named for a catchphrase made popular in the 1970s (What You See Is What You Get), let users see what their site is looking like, all while doing the necessary editing on the site.

When choosing WYSIWYG editors, there are many options to select from – including Dreamweaver.  Dreamweaver has various features like choosing how a website will be coded, along with the ability to clean up any missing language, like tags or other items that may have been omitted.  Other products include Amaya, a hybrid sort of editor/browser that lets a user surf the internet and design/edit pages at the same time.  Amaya is an open-source tool that is compatible with Linux systems and Mac computers.  FrontPage, an editor that has had some functionality critiques, is still somewhat popular and supported by various site hosts.  Then there’s Adobe Contribute – which not only handles the editing of webpages…but also lets you edit and update blogs, as well.

With WYSIWYG editors, there come positive and negative things.  Among the rewards you reap is the simple ability to get pages done much more quickly than you would if text editing guided your site development.  Plus, you don’t necessarily have to learn code to get the job done, thanks to WYSIWYG.  Still there can be drawbacks – and one involves the integration o these editors with your printer.  Some printers may decide to garble text or spew blank pages if they are forced to shut down due to even a small error.  Also, you could run into issues concerning placement of manual page code into WYSIWYG editors, along with HTML translation problems which sometimes occur.

There are many benefits to using WYSIWYG editors – it’s up to you to determine if they outweigh any issues.
