In this small publication we would like to give functionality highlights to application consultant or to the ERP selection team. SAP B1 version 2007 will be available soon and we think a lot of new software implementations will follow this summer

Few words about SAB BO licensing – it is all-in-one per named user,SAP Business One Sales Module implementation notes Articles meaning that user will get access to all native SB1 modules:

1.       Multiple items selection in the scrolling item window.  This means that you can open item grid, mark multiple items and move the selection to you Sales document: Quote, Order, Delivery, Picking and Packing for example.

2.       Credit Memo vs. Return.  SAP Business One design allows you to use return against Delivery document, where you do not yet post customer obligation in General Ledger.  If you already posted Sales AR invoice, then you should use Credit Memo to reverse Invoice.  You need to remember the difference between Return and Credit Memo

3.       Reserved Invoice.  This document allows you to collect payment or prepayment, prior to releasing inventory for delivery to the customer

4.       Picking and Packing.  These steps are optional, but they might be required in by your business logic.  Imagine, you have warehouse and you release customer order for picking and packing in the warehouse.  Warehouse people now can open Picking document and pick items line by line (as an addition here you may have barcode scanners to be integrated with picking form).  Then packing employees open Delivery document and created attached Packing record, where they create boxes, crates, pallets or containers and place items with quantities there (as additional alternative logic they may print custom report – container content or packing slip, for instance)

5.       On the fly document entry screen modification.  You can add new fields on the fly to SB1 Invoice form, for example.  Imagine scenario, when you would like to allocate additional fee on the document level to all the items and you would like to see them on the line item level for modification
