Conversion is important now that you have gone to much time and energy, and possibly even expense to get your site up. You now have figured out how to get traffic to your site. Now you need to convert that traffic into customers and profit.. Here are some simple tips.

Conversion is one of the four key components to having a successful business for a number of reasons.

1. You have worked very hard to build your site and/or your blog.

2. You have worked very hard to either make your own products or create a service,Are you having good Conversion? Articles or you have gathered together a number of affiliate products you would like to sell.

3. You have worked very hard to get traffic to your site and/or blog.

4. You have spent many hours and have money invested in this business.

5. You want to succeed and are committed and motivated.

Now that you have all of the above put together, you need people to either sign up for your subscription so you can convince them later that you have the products and/or services that will be a huge benefit to their lives, or to simply buy the products and/or services strait from your site.

Conversion is a broad topic covering many different areas but it basically comes down to the percentage of people that you are targeting in a given area. If 100 people visit your site and 50 of them sign up for your subscription, then you have a 50% conversion. If 60 people of 100 sign up you have a 60% conversion.

You need to track your conversion on your sales page or pages, your sales letters, your email promotions, your landing page or squeeze page, your subscription sign ups. You may have other things you need to track.

So how do you raise your conversion number? Very simple, testing, testing, and more testing. You also will need to study writing copy.

The first thing you need to do is grab the person's attention. You only have seconds to achieve this. This person is going to be looking for something that will benefit them. Grab their interest, with a good strong headline, easy to see and read. If you are selling pet products, then have a headline something like, PETS THAT USE OUR PRODUCTS ARE THE HAPPIEST AND HEALTHIEST. With a sub-headline that reads, OUR UNIQUE, QUALITY PROVEN PRODUCTS WILL PUT A SMILE ON YOUR PET'S FACE. If they are looking for pet products, do you thing they will read on to see what you have to offer? I think so. Notice the power words, happiest, healthiest, unique, quality, proven. This is a little loaded, but you get my point. You have their attention. You have also given them some benefits. A happier pet, a healthier pet, quality, proven. People also love unique items. You are the only place to get this item. You could go on to describe a few more benefits after the sub-headline.

Next you need to establish credibility. Why should they believe you? You need either testimonials, years in the business, statistics, charts, graphs, any or a few of these after they know the benefits. Another thing that people like to see is that many others are using the product or service with great results.

Next they should know about the value of your products. "Ounce per ounce our products outperform our nearest competitors" or "Our product costs less than a cup of coffee a day", something of that nature, you get the point.

Next move to how easy and convenient the products are to use and also to purchase. People want and love convenience. "Our products come strait to your doorstep with a simple click of the button below".

Now finish off with a sense of urgency. They can not put this off. "Buy today and we will throw in an extra added bonus", "Why make you pet wait another day?" Just push the "Buy Now" button below.

This is just a simple example. There are many things you can do with copy. It is a very important knowledge and skill you must learn to master. To recap, first thing to do is grab their attention, second, show the benefits, third, show them credibility, fourth, people love unique, fifth, show them the values, sixth, make it convenient, seventh, make it urgent that they buy now.

You also need to test with it. One simple word, or the font size, or the font color could make a huge conversion difference.

Test with your page color. Test with your signup box placement. Always test and try different things. Add content and graphics, and make it more user friendly. Make your site a place people will want to visit frequently. A place for comments, add a forum, some way for them to interact is always good. Make them enjoy the site and offer plenty of information. Visit competitor's sites that rank high in a Google search. Look at their sites and sales pages.

The next thing to focus on will be backend.
