story:
Sadasivam (Sayaji Shinde) is a strong MAL in Vizag. Anu (Rashi Khanna) is his daughter who returns from US to meet him. Sundeep (Sundeep Kishan) she meets and falls in love with her accidentally.One day Bhavani (Ajay) and Anu Sundeep attack saves her from his clutches. It also tries to find out why Bhavani has attacked Anu and comes to know the real truth of PK (Brahmanandam). Why do Bhavani Anu attack? How is its connection with Anu? What happens to the love story of Sundeep? The answers to these questions form the rest of the story.
Plus points:
Sundeep Kishan gives another performance matured after Ra Ra Krishnayya. He worked very hard on his body and his comic timing is very good in the film. It is also good with his dancing and sharing a good chemistry with Raashi Khanna. Speaking of Raashi she looks beautiful and is the main attraction of the film. It does well in emotional scenes and Sundeep many compliments.The rest of the cast includes Brahmanandam, Sapthagiri Priya Banerjee, Sushma, Shayaji Shnde and Ajay have done a decent job. the episode of the comedy Sapthagiri in the first half is good. comedy sequences in the second half are entertaining and the climax was slapstick comedy that is also entertaining.
Minus Points:
The pace of the first half is dead slow the script gets stuck after the introductory scenes. There are not a good flow in the film during this part and once the twist is revealed, the rest of the story becomes predictable. Priya Banerjee and Sushma Raj are wasted because they have nothing to do in the film.Although Sapthagiri is good, the manager could not use it to its potential. Too many characters in the film leaves the audience confused. The character of Ajay lack of justification and proper end.
Technical aspects:
Cinematography of the film is good and especially the songs have been shot beautifully. Music of the film is pretty much ok and so is the background score. Editor could focus more on the first half to make it crispy.Director Nagendra Kumar tries a comedy artist after "Gundello Godari" but fails in its execution altogether. Somewhere along the line, it went wrong with his script and messed up with too many characters.
Verdict:
Overall, "Joru" ends as a mere entertainer below average. Too many characters and boring first half are the main disadvantages of the film. Sundeep Kishan and performance, climax, and Brahmi comedy Raashi Khanna is the only point. You can not give this movie a shot if you have absolutely nothing else to do.
