Kimye – From Bling to Baby

Kim and Kanye fit together like the words magnolia and bakery. We love it when A-listers hook up and shower each other with gifts, buy houses and in the case of Kimye get pregnant and bloom together as a couple.

 

Houses, Rings & Cars

Kimye haven’t disappointed their fans. They’ve just recently entered into a contract to buy a 9,000 square foot home in Bel-Air. It is a Mediterranean style home with five bedrooms and a huge expanse of lawn and view of the surrounding hills. Perfect for when their little bundle of joy arrives. Apparently 9,000 square foot isn’t big enough and they are planning to add 4,000 square feet to the residence and of course they will be redoing it their style, or should we say, Kim’s style.

 

Predictably it’s not only the mansions but cars and diamonds that have been a running theme in their short relationship. Kanye was overcome when Kim surprised him on his 35th birthday, arriving in Ireland with his gift: a $750,000 Lamborghini. Don’t even get us started on the HUGE diamond ring that he bought her and the fact she’s now immortalised in one of his songs “Way Too Cold”.

 

Will Parenthood change them?

So they have the bling, but as any new parent knows, none of that stuff matters when you hold your baby in your arms for the first time. Just look at Snooki, head over to her blog, of course she’s still got her Snooki style and fitflop clogs, but now it’s all baby pictures and dripping with ‘I love you cutey pie’.

 

Of course they’ll have a nanny, au pair or any other paid help that the super-rich could want (chef, cleaner, nose-wiper) but both seem to want to be hands on parents and Kanye has been quoted that “he can’t wait to have kids with Kim”. They’ve already bought the house, but as the bump grows, we will get an indicator of what type of parents they will become.

 

Birth

After Kim’s sister Kourtney gave birth naturally to little Penelope last year (and sparked controversy when the footage was released) will Kim choose to go the same way? There has been lots of pressure on celebrities to help the cause of natural birth as the U.S. caesarean rate is 34% and rising. Will Kim want to be in control or out for the count? These decisions are best made as a couple so hopefully Kanye will be at her side supporting her every pant of the way.

 

But the birth is only the beginning, how will their lifestyles change once the new arrival comes? Will they make the distance and through that tough first year with a baby? We can’t wait to find out!
