My own advice here would be to remember that the whole process will probably take longer than you imagine.

Most of us tend to make under-estimates when we're thinking about how long it will take to pack, or the amount of effort that's involved in transporting heavy pieces of furniture. Although it's certainly nice to be optimistic, there are times when it's more sensible to consider the situation in a realistic manner.

Remember that packing boxes may slide around in transit. Individual items may also move within boxes, if they have not been packed in a suitable manner. This means that you need to concentrate on buying boxes that offer suitable levels of protection. You'll also need to make use of suitable internal packaging. You can almost guarantee that there will be some movement, so you're looking to restrict the impact of that.

If you're sure that your belongings will arrive in a suitable state, then you'll find that this can really reduce stress levels. You'll feel happy that everything should be able to go according to plan and that your moving day can be a great success.
