Has your child ever been invited to an overnight party at a relative or friends home and told to bring a slumber bag? This can be problematic if they don’t have sleeping bags! With so many sleeping bags on the market,Sleepovers and Sleeping Bags Articles finding the perfect sleep-n-bag doesn’t have to be a difficult process. There are so many designs, sizes and options available today for each individual slumber bag. If you are planning a sleepover for your child or think they will be invited to one in the future, you should take into consideration purchasing them a slumber bag. Preparation is the key to having a great party and happy children.

If you are worried about your own children staying the night away from home, you can solve this by hosting it at your house. Here are some tips and ideas on how to plan a great party and make fun memories that will last. First of all, you will need to set the date and time of arrival and departure. Then it’s a good idea to sit down with your child and plan the guest list.  On the invitations, don’t forget to remind each child to bring their sleep-n-bag. When you invite the children, you should let the parents know all of the details for the evening and be sure to ask the other parents about food allergies their kids may have. Another important piece of information that is essential to get is contact numbers of all of the parents. Contact numbers come in handy in the event that a child gets scared or homesick in their sleep-n-bag and wants to go home in the middle of the night.

The next step is to plan some activities for your child and their friends to do during the party. One thing that kids love to do at these types of things is staying up late and watching movies. Have your kids pick out a few of their favorite movies before all their friends come over, then at the party all the kids can vote on what movie everyone should watch. This will help eliminate potential fights if everyone has a different idea of what movie to watch. Then the little ones can all lay out on their sleeping bags or curl up inside their slumber bag and watch tv.

Another great sleepover activity is doing crafts. Craft activities can be lots of fun as long as there is proper adult supervision. Some examples are finger painting, drawing, coloring, and making art projects. For example, if it’s a birthday party, kids can decorate their own birthday hats. Puffy paint and rhinestones are a fun way to decorate purses or t-shirts as well. When kids tire of these activities, they can play board games while sitting on their slumber bag. Some party favorites are Candy Land, Guess Who, and twister. Kids can take turns playing or form teams so everyone can play at once!

Another fun thing to do is tell stories while laying on their sleep-n-bag. Just make sure to warn the little ones before that scary stories aren’t allowed. This will hopefully prevent the children from having bad dreams or wanting to go home in the middle of the night. They can also sing campfire songs as they lay in their sleeping bags.

It is also important to have snacks and the staple sleepover food at the party. Pretzels, chips, and cupcakes are always good snacks and easily cleaned should they spill on the sleep-n-bag. Pizza is a great food to have on hand as well, since most kids love pizza. With these tips and a lot of sleeping bags, your child can have a fun evening at home with their friends.
