Beautiful and beckoning, Lake Tahoe is an ideal home or vacation area, with a wealth of real estate on its shores. Lake Tahoe is one of the highest, deepest, and largest lakes in the US. Real estate prices in North Lake Tahoe vary, but are generally higher than in the south, though this really depends on the specific community.  One of the least expensive areas of this part of Lake Tahoe is Truckee, a sweet, smaller town on the north shores that is growing into a coveted location. Amenities like golf courses, easy access to Lake Tahoe, and shorter drives to other areas are the big draw for this little town.
