Within the thirty-one day span, penalties will still be effective if a person is caught driving uninsured. Once a person is caught offending the law, his/her license will be suspended for at least three months. Reregistration can only occur when the suspension time span has lifted and the driver shows proof of insurance payment.For individuals that are high risked drivers because of multiple previous accidents they may find it very hard to find a suitable insurance company. Pennsylvania auto ins have created a program that helps these people obtain insurance. All insurance carriers within the state are required to participate in this program so that no one drives uninsured. People that have been convicted for drunk driving might have a harder time participating in this program.
