With the rise in interest in online shopping there has been a great rise in scams and frauds done through same source these frauds are of many types and shapes,there have been many incidents resulting in loss of customers. These frauds include :

         Another fraud done with people who like online shopping is by fake websites, these websites are made just like the real company sites with a slight change in logo and web address, so the buyer from these websites ends up getting a low quality or no product at all.

         The most threatening fraud for a customer is that his or her credit card number and information goes in wrong hands, this is commonly done by these ways

Telling customer that he has won a free prize and he can receive that prize by just entering basic information and a valid address, and many customer falls for this trick and give their basic information to fraud people who misuse that data and customer ends up suffering loss.

Offer cheap priced or free products with a information form which is claimed to be a customer survey form

4) Counterfeit products:

         Many of the websites offering online shopping sell counterfeit and fake products which are less useful or not functioning as expected according to the description on the website, so the customer would have ended up spending money in getting hold of a product which is worthless for him.

5)Spyware:

         Once spammers are able to send a spyware in your system then they can easily know you bank account number and details while you enter those for a online shopping transaction

       There are many ways to avoid online shopping frauds which include shopping from highly reputable websites like dinodirect or other websites recommended by friends and relatives, never go for a free prize offered without a reason and the bigger the prize is the more will be the probability that it’s a fraud. Along with precautions there are also cybercrime reporting websites which take proper action against these spam.
