Mom's Urgent Care Mistake
Urgent care facilities are put in place to help treat various medical conditions. The smartest thing to do would be to take advantage of the services theses centers provide.
Urgent Care centers are a great place to go for those with semi-emergencies. Instead of going to the emergency room and waiting for hours behind people with fatal injuries,

it would be a good idea to stop by one of these facilities. The best thing about them is the great medical professionals who are there ready to help. It's imperative to seek their assistance instead of going at it alone. If you chose the latter, you may end up actually needing to visit the hospital. Sometimes, people are too confident in their abilities, which can cause more harm than good. Imagine if there was a mother who once studied to become a nurse, but she never got her degree. Although she wasn't certified, she believed she had the skills necessary to take care of her son's medical needs without the help of doctors or urgent care centers. Because she had been somewhat successful in this regard, her confidence in her abilities grew exponentially. The only problem was, she had only dealt with issues such as seasonal allergies, scars, the flu and stomach viruses. This caused her to believe she could help with just about anything medically related, short of surgery of course. So, when her son got a bad rash, she didn't hesitate to test her skills on him. She used her former knowledge as well as extensive research to get herself prepared. Her husband didn't agree, however. Instead, he urged her to seek the help of an urgent care specialist. His wife still refused. After researching for a few hours, she headed to the store to get the ingredients to the natural cream remedy she found online. She wanted to try something new, as opposed to over the counter medicines. After nearly a week had passed, it seemed as if she had gotten the rash under control, as it started to disappear. "See, I told you we didn't need an urgent care specialist," she said to her husband, playfully. "You should trust me sometimes. I know what I'm doing." A few days passed and her son came home from school and told his mother he believed the rash was coming back because he felt some itching on his back, while he was in class. So, his father walked over to him and pulled up his shirt to inspect his back. The rash had come back with a vengeance. This time it was triple the size of the last one. So, the father picked up his car keys and told his son to follow him. "Where are you taking him?" asked the mother. "He needs to put on some more skin rash cream. Can't you see it's getting worse?" "I'm taking him to an urgent care center, something we should have done a long time ago," he said, as he walked out of the front door with his son behind him. The mother watched them walk out of the door, finally realizing she wasn't as medically inclined as she had once believed.
