It is written by Julie Rubenzer's father in hopes it will cut the cosmetic surgery death rate world wide. On Sept. 25,Propofol and a Cosmetic Surgery Disaster Articles 2003, Julie Ayer Rubenzer walked into the Cosmetic Surgery Center, Sarasota, FL. She did not walk out. She was transported out in a coma. If you think the Michael Jackson case was a reckless medical malpractice, wait until you read this new book, "The Who's Next Club-A cosmetic surgery disaster'' written by Donald W. Ayer.

1. If someone told you that your daughter died from willful, reckless and egregious medical malpractice would you do anything about it? Don Ayer tried. In the Chapter titled, "Pushing a Rope" he included letters to the Florida authorities requesting an independent review of the facts.
Read the result.

2. If someone told you that prominence has no effect on prosecutors, would you believe it? Read the Chapter titled, "The Michael Jackson Impact" for the answer. Dr. Conrad Murray gave Michael Jackson about 25-50 mgs. propofol per setting. Dr. Kurt Dangl gave Julie Rubenzer 1600 mgs. propofol in one setting. Conrad Murray is serving 4 years, Kurt Dangl was let to walk.

3. If someone told you that a boyfriend of 4-5 months could get legally positioned to petition the court to strip Julie Rubenzer's father of guardianship, would you believe it? Read Chapters Two, "The Nightmare Worsens" and Chapter Three, "The Prelinary Hearing."

4. If someone told you that during the Terri Schiavo story, 2003 and 2004, two separate attempts were made to turn Julie Rubenzer into a second Terri Schiavo case, would lyou believe it? Read the chapter, "The Terri Schiavo Impact". The author spelled it all out.

5. If someone told you that one book, and only one book, has the potential to cut the cosmetic surgery death rate worldwide, would you read it?

This diary was started by Don Ayer's wife at the urging of their attorney. When Julie Rubenzer died on Dec. 26, 2003, she put that diary away. But when the author learned what actually happened in that doctor's office, he pulled the diary from the desk and continued it the next 8 years. The objective of this story is to cut the cosmetic surgery death rate. It should be on the required reading list for anyone considering cosmetic surgery. Office based surgery is the modern day "wild west" corner of medicine. Patients should ask their doctor, maybe take him/her along as a bodyguard.
