Studies show that out of 1000 children,The reality of autism Articles 6 of them are most likely to get Autism. The cause of Autism still cannot be answered straight but research has discovered two possible sources: Genetics and environmental toxins. The former happens when there are abnormalities on the brain that creates brain malfunctions. For the latter, being around harmful chemicals such as mercury can alter the state of the brain’s function.

People with autism face heavy challenges to be able to live a normal life. They are held up by social, communication and performance challenges. They will also have to bring more effort when it comes to education, keeping a stable job and building relationships. If we are able to understand the autism characteristics then we will be able to help them overcome the difficult feat they are facing in their entire life.

1.       A kid with autism does not get the connection with smiling and being friendly. Normal people show their happiness by smiling but the one with autism will not know that the two are connected already.

2.       Physically, autistic children look normal but they are not able to use these body parts efficiently. They can hear perfectly but they do not understand the things that they heed and they are slow when it comes to getting instructions.

3.       Some things are not pleasant on their eyes that they would push that thing away and some will look interesting enough that they tend to focus their attention on it without noticing the other things happening around them.

4.       They are also sensitive when it comes to noise. They get upset with it and they throw tantrums when they are not being followed.

5.       Understanding what they are saying can also be difficult and vice versa.

6.       Another autism characteristicis their willingness to be alone. They do not like to socialize even with their families and friends.

7.       They easily notice physical changes in a room.

8.       They give repetitive attention over something or could talk about the same thing over and over again.

9.       They have these awkward body movements like waving their fingers and giving out facial expressions unnecessarily.

10.   They may not know and understand so many things but they are an expert about a thing or two.

These symptoms of autism can be noticed as the child is growing up. If you noticed some unusual behavior with your kid, the right thing to do is to act quickly by consulting a doctor. Be caring and learn to acknowledge their differences because the best thing that they can have in their situation is acceptance.
