Too often, network marketers fall into the trap of spending too much time trying to do, or say fancy, clever or smart things, to try and be remarkable, at the expense of the best way to build a network marketing business.

Wow! there are some clever people on the internet. On one blog I came across a UTube Video titled,Being Remarkable In Your Network Marketing Business Articles "All Marketers Are Liars!" which is a film of Seth Godin's speech to a group of top Google engineers and marketers. As you can imagine Seth Godin must be really clever to be asked to speak to top members of Google, and much of his talk kept me enthralled. If you want to watch the video then do a search for Seth Godin on UTube. You will see the Video titled, "All Marketers Are Liars".

One thing that Seth said, got me thinking, not because it was profound, but because my initial reaction was "How on earth am I going to do that?" This Seth Godin guy is a brilliant entrepreneur, author and marketer. How on earth can I expect to do what he's suggesting. Oh, I'm sorry! I haven't told you what he was suggesting. He was basically saying that to keep people's interest you must keep doing something remarkable. That means that "something" must be worth remarking about.

I use various techniques to promote my network marketing business, but I would be the first to admit that I am not an expert at marketing, nor is anything I do remarkable. You may feel the same - I mean about your efforts. After recovering from the initial shock, I decided that Seth Godin, with his amazing talents and skills, might be able to keep developing remarkable things and he was a multi-millionaire as a result. But there are hundreds of mult-millionaires who have built network marketing businesses without much in the way of doing remarkable marketing and promotion or having remarkable skills.

I have met a few very rich network marketers who are hopelessly disorganised, who bore the tears out of audiences at meetings. When they dress in a made to measure suit, they still look as if they've been dragged backwards through a hedge and would stand out in a crowd only for that reason.

So what do these successful network marketing business men and women do to get there. Seth Godin is right in what he says and these network marketers have actually done something remarkable and are probably still doing so. Ask them and they will tell you that they keep doing lots of little things, each and every day, that in themselves don't amount to much, but combined, very definitely are worth remarking on.

Success itself is remarkable. With a marathon champion, each step of the race does not in itself appear remarkable, even though it is, especially as the distance increases. Each and every action you take to build your network marketing business may not appear remarkable, but it is and even more so the longer you keep building.

Don't confuse remarkable with fancy, or clever, or smart. Just find a few simple things to do that produce a positive result. Keep doing those things for as long as it takes to build a network marketing business of the size you want which, in itself will be remarkable and so will your income.
