For example, the resort of Bodrum has a glitzy and cosmopolitan feel with its large scale marina and you also then have Fethiye; this area is more lively and excellent has some excellent value for money property. For somewhere equally pretty yet somewhat more understated, there is also Dalaman.

There are a number of good reasons to buy a property in Turkey, not least due to its low cost of living and wide and varied property portfolio. Should you be buying here with an investment approach, what’s also interesting is the fact this is a market which hasn’t as yet peaked. 

Overall, don't rush the process of buying a property. Do as much research as you can, assess the legalities and speak to multiple property agents in Turkey and check their credentials. Foreigners have been able to buy property in Turkey since 2001 and the processes have improved continually. That said, make sure you go with a credible agent who will be able to take care of the paperwork and processes in the most straightforward ways possible.
