Whether a young professional looking for the perfect place to settle down,North Carolina:Perfect State to Buy Land, Country Homes, and Rural Real Estate in Todays Economy Articles a seasoned homeowner looking for the perfect place to spend the golden years, or a family looking for the vacation property they had previously only dreamed about, North Carolina has something to not only meet but exceed the needs of even the most discerning buyer.

North Carolina has a wide array of entertainment for its residents. The state is characterized by great small towns with friendly people and a quaint feel many find the perfect antidote to too much time spent in big cities. There is a great deal of history in these towns dating back hundreds of years just waiting to be explored by those interested. In addition to this interesting and rich history, North Carolina is home to hundreds of quality golf courses, a variety of equestrian experiences sure to suit anyone from curious beginner to long-time horse owner, and great hunting throughout many non-industrialized areas. With ample terrain in the west for an collection of activities ranging from more extreme rock and mountain climbing to relaxing, scenic hiking, and hundreds of miles of gorgeous beach, there are plenty of outdoor activities to occupy free time.

With few exceptions in the more extreme elevations, the temperatures (especially in the coastal half of the state) are mild the whole year through.

For all it's quaint southern charm, North Carolina is certainly not "backwoods" in terms of technological advance. North Carolina, through various tax incentives, is currently working to add an Apple server farm to it's impressive collection of recent transplants from the cutting edge of technology, which already includes a six hundred million dollar Google data center, that bring jobs of all types to the state.

With all these great features, what else would "sweeten the deal?" North Carolina is currently a buyer's market. With land prices, currently as affordable as they have been in years, set to increase with the slowly recuperating economy and interest rates at an all time low, the time to wait is over. In addition to these economic factors, North Carolina has an extremely low land transfer tax (maximum of .4%) as further incentive.

When you have arrived at the decision that North Carolina is where you would like to buy property,  the work is not quite over. You will need to decide first on one of the three main regions, then narrow your search by asking yourself questions such as "Do I want waterfront property?" and "What features do I need nearby?" Once you have a good idea of several areas you would be interested in investigating, I recommend using the internet for your search - Last year, over 88% of buyers began their search online, and these numbers are continuing to grow. This doesn't take an advanced understanding of computers or the internet - simply type in phrases such as "North Carolina Land" into the search bar of your favorite search engine (such as Google).

Once you have located some properties you are excited about, make sure to make a visit to each. While the internet is a fantastic resource to find properties, you should always investigate these before signing or paying anything. Always check credentials and speak with a lawyer about your rights, as real estate law varies from place to place. Before you know it, you could be living in the house you never thought possible in a fantastic area of this growing state, but not until you start your search! So log on and start looking!
