My Daughter has outgrown her bed and now needs another but what do i buy her?

After five years of beautifully growing,A new bed for my daughter Articles my daughter has finally outgrown her first bed. It was an adjustable bed that we purchased from our local bed store which she has been in from quite an early age (about one and a half), but she has been complaining quite a bit recently about it not being very comfortable. The reason it isn’t very comfortable is because it has a foam mattress which is quite thin so as she has grown and put on more weight the thinner the mattress would appear. The bed also is very low down and really doesn’t need to be as the dangers of my daughter falling out and injuring herself are quite remote now. All in all we decided that now was the right time to purchase a new bed for her and whilst we were doing that we might as well re-decorate and update her baby wallpaper with something more appropriate form a five year old.

We first completely stripped her bedroom of furniture and wallpaper and then repainted. My wife then took my daughter to a few wall paper shops and she chose a design that she wanted and that would look good in her room. She went for patterned wallpaper that we would put up as a feature on one of the walls with plain wallpaper for the other walls which we would paint in her favourite color which was obviously pink. Whilst I decorated the room my wife and my daughter went round the local bed shops to pick out a new bed, but having searched far and wide they couldn’t find anything that really suited so they turned to the internet and look through the abundance of online shops.

After a short while my daughter fell in love with a cabin bed which is a bed that normally has some sort of storage or play area underneath the sleeping area which is a great way of utilising the space and as my daughter had the smallest bedroom the choice was quite appropriate. The next stage was to find the right bed as there were so many different choices. There were cabin beds with drawers and cupboards underneath, some with desks and chairs underneath and some even with slides which my daughter loved but they need a bit of room for the child to land which wasn’t really available in my daughters room.

In the end she went for a princess themed cabin bed which had a turret and flags and turned the bed in to an object of fun as well as a place to sleep. She is now one happy little girl.
