New Year's Eve is a big time to celebrate for everyone in the world.  There will likely be plenty of celebrations around and you may even decide to have a party in your home.  However,Protect your Pet From the Noises of New Years Eve Celebrations Articles keep in mind that pets likely won't be as excited as you are since it's just another day for them.

Most pets are very wary of loud noises.  It will make them noticeably uncomfortable, and they may run away to find a suitable place to hide.  It is best that you protect your pet during New Year's Eve to ensure that he's comfortable.

It is best that you don't leave your pet outside during the celebrations.  Even if you aren't shooting off any fireworks, some of your neighbors may be.  Your pet won't like all of the noise that firecrackers and other fireworks make.

It is much quieter and safer to keep them inside.  You want to ensure that your pet is comfortable, so make a nice spot for him that's quiet and secluded.  Make sure that there is plenty of toys and bedding for him to use.

Not all pets are afraid of the loud noises during New Year's Eve though.  You can even get  your pet used to the noise by using a special CD that contains a wide array of sounds.  If there are fireworks shooting off though, you can try to drown them out with the TV or radio.  Simply close the curtains and make sure there is plenty of light in the room.

Owners need to be on their best behavior too.  Don't punish your dog for whining or showing other signs that he's afraid.  Conversely, you don't want to cuddle your dog too much either.  This will only make it seem appropriate for them to be afraid.  Instead of cuddling your dog, go about business as usual as if nothing was wrong.

Some pets may even decide to run away in an attempt to get away from all the noise.  You may have a hard time finding them in this case.  That's why it's best to keep them locked up inside, or at the very least make use of microchipping technology.  This is especially true for cats.  You want to ensure that all windows and doors are closed so that they won't try to make an escape.

Don't focus too much on celebrating on New Year's Eve that you forget about your pet.  Make sure that they're comfortable during this time.
