9.x will still be the mainstream and 7.x shares will increaseFor flat panel sizes, 9.x inches occupy largest with 68% shares mainly because of Apple iPad's hot selling. However, 7.x inches this year will be even more popular, especially if Apple introuduces the 7.x-inch iPad which product will be complete with the already listed 7.x inches flat-panel like Kindle and Nook.

The 7.x inches market shares will rise to 36% this year, but 9.x inches panel shares will fall from 68% to 56%.Panel supply chain this year will be more diversified and the supplier will also be involved in the field of high-end and low-end flat panels. The market will also become more diverse. New manufacturers like Japan's Sharp Corp, Japan Display, and Taiwan's AU Optronics will join in the suppliers. But more panel suppliers' joining in displayer field will lead to intensifying competition.

IHS iSuppli believes that the increased competition helps to reduce the cost of the OEM manufacturers and thereby increase demand and help maintain the growth of the flat panel market.
